Hit and Run

  Surveillance footage can be instrumental in solving cases. Seven “Crime of the Week” segments solved in 2009 featured suspects caught on tape committing crime. This week, with the help of surveillance photos, Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the vehicle and driver responsible for a Hit and Run which occurred in the 1000 block of Temperance Street.
On Sunday, Jan uary, 31, 2010, at approximately 1:00 AM a vehicle, described as a 4 door, light colored, car was traveling westbound in the 1000 block of Temperance Street when it lost control and struck a red car parked legally on the north side of the street. The impact caused the suspect vehicle to spin around facing the direction in which it came. After the collision the suspect vehicle drove away leaving the parked vehicle damaged beyond repair. This indicates that the suspect vehicle will not only have sustained damage but may have red transfer paint along the passenger side at points of impact.
